A worker who observes what appears to be an unsafe or harmful act or condition must report it to their supervisor as soon as possible. If a worker believes that completing a certain task would create an undue hazard for themselves or others, the worker must not perform the task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Employers can not discipline or otherwise penalize a worker for refusing unsafe work. Supervisors can support and encourage workers by encouraging early reporting of concerns and proactive problem-solving, reducing the need for formal refusals of unsafe work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Understand the right to refuse unsafe work.
