They deliver workshops to continuing care workers throughout British Columbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contracted Master Facilitators are highly experienced facilitators in their respective curriculum streams. Not only can they deliver training to staff, they\u2019re also qualified to train and mentor new Peer Facilitators on behalf of SafeCare BC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the benefits?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Expand your skill set<\/strong>. Becoming an independent contracted facilitator is an excellent personal and professional growth opportunity. You\u2019ll increase your knowledge, build valuable facilitation skills, and collect continuing education hours to maintain certification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Make an even bigger impact.<\/strong>&nbsp;You will directly improve the health and safety of those in the continuing care sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Have flexibility.&nbsp;<\/strong>You get to select facilitation dates that work for your schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get paid.<\/strong>&nbsp;We\u2019ll pay you to deliver workshops on our behalf.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Am I eligible?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To be eligible, you must:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have completed peer facilitator training and mentorship in an eligible program stream.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The eligible program streams are as follows:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum (PVPC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gentle Persuasive Approaches in Dementia Care (GPA)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety Leadership Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safe Resident Handling or Safe Client Handling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the application criteria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We rate applications based on the following:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The training demand in the region where you\u2019re located<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your experience in the continuing care sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your experience with the curriculum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your facilitation skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your availability to facilitate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I apply?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>&nbsp;Review the information online and determine whether this is an opportunity you wish to pursue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>&nbsp;Review the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scbcdev.safecarebc.ca\/resources\/templates\/independent-contractor-agreement\/\" data-type=\"template\" data-id=\"1848\">sample agreement<\/a>&nbsp;and direct any questions to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:training@safecarebc.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">training@safecarebc.ca<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>&nbsp;Complete and submit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scbcdev.safecarebc.ca\/service\/peer-facilitator-program\/application\/\" data-type=\"service\" data-id=\"732\">application form<\/a>. We\u2019ll contact you about your application and may ask follow-up questions. Our interest in contracting you will depend on our current training needs.&nbsp;If we haven\u2019t seen you facilitate recently, we may request an opportunity to assess your content knowledge and facilitation skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Step 4:<\/strong>&nbsp;We\u2019ll contact you about the status of your application.
