{"id":249,"date":"2023-03-02T21:08:38","date_gmt":"2023-03-03T05:08:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/safecarebc.ca\/?post_type=huddle&#038;p=249"},"modified":"2026-06-02T15:33:39","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T22:33:39","slug":"reportable-situations","status":"publish","type":"huddle","link":"https:\/\/scbcdev.safecarebc.ca\/?huddle=reportable-situations","title":{"rendered":"Reportable situations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One at a time, go through the guiding questions for each of the listed scenarios.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">After this huddle staff should be able to:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recognize reportable incidents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report a hazard, near miss, injury, workplace incivility or responsive behaviours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notes to the huddle leader<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Guide your staff through the proper reporting procedures set out by your organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reporting is not about assigning blame, instead it keeps the care plan current and helps prevent injuries for both workers and the person in care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Summarize the discussion with an overview of what happens after an event is reported (i.e. investigation and follow-up).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guiding questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do these scenarios need to be reported?
